TheftScore is independently maintained. It turns national records, ownership context and recent signals into connected motorcycle views without pretending they answer the same question.
Why it exists
Riders can find isolated lists and headlines about motorcycle theft, but it is harder to examine a particular model, year or place and then follow the evidence. TheftScore builds that traversable layer: national records lead model journeys, while ownership, recent and local evidence explain different parts of the picture.
Editorial principles
- Lead model journeys with national records.
- Describe recent reports as signals—not total crime.
- Keep stolen records, ownership context, report volume and local context separate.
- Show uncertainty and missing classifications instead of guessing.
- Correct material errors visibly.
- Do not label an individual motorcycle or area “safe.”

TheftScore is not an insurer, government body, police service or theft-reporting service. External services do not determine its editorial conclusions.
